Having just broken windows at Nordstrom's (5th & Pike shown in the previous photo) these
anarchist/opportunists run from the fear of police retalition. Not everyone
in this photo is connected to the vandals. Some are peaceful demonstrators,
or folks who were downtown to work, shop or watch. When you hear loud
breaking glass and yelling, then see people running, you tend to run too
(unless you have a camera with you, in which case you do silly things like
stand in the way and try to get a good light reading and snap the photo before
the expected tear gas volleys begin.) Tuesday, 11-30-1999
