This, the first time a man with a weapon like the M-16 shown walked toward me, I was quite nervous. Later in the day I got used to it. Strange thing to grow accustomed to on the downtown streets of a city in the worlds 'greatest' democracy.   Note the complete lack of a name or number on the officer's uniform. The green pouch strapped to his left thigh is full of concussion grenades which were used by police heavily later in the day and following day. The SPD used so much tear gas, pepper spray, plastic bullets and concussion grenades that by the end of the night on Wed Dec. 1st, they had depleted their supplies and had to order more.
