WAR
     March 31, 2003
     by Richard Gross
Richard lives in San Francisco and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil.

Winter in America
Moonscape in Iraq

When have the people of the world
Been so united?

The Moon landing?
The 60s assassinations?
9/11?

United against the United States Government

This Century of Survival
Began ominously
And early
December 12, 2000
Bush v Gore
Five to Four

Market bubbles bursting
Twin Towers crumbling
An unelected President
Grumbling, bungling
Menacing
Kick ass naked

Early stages -
World War III
Third World War
Against the Third World

Global Climate Change
Ice Age problem solvers
Greater creators
Creatures - Apart from Nature

The battle now begins
Within and without
No doubt
The real thing is here
It's near
The birds have stopped their singing
Far better to fight, than fear

It's the Fall everywhere else
It's Winter - in America
